Description
Built 1951, this was part of the last group of Baggage & Mail cars delivered to the Santa Fe. The car #3601 is one of three in this class that had fluted sides.
As no Railway Post Office has ever been built in N scale for the ATSF without skirts, ours comes in that variation, with NO Skirts. The full (center) skirting was typically removed from the cars to allow fast and easy access to service them. In some cases skirting was removed soon after delivery. Â But in other cases and rarely, we would see skirting still on the car at the end of their career.
This car is all sliver, roof, trucks and under frame, and is a classic version of this car.

The thing I love about all the things you do is the fact that everything is so well thought out, so beautiful and so unique.

Thanks for all the great trains – it’s nice to have such wonderful rolling stock on the layout.

I am looking forward to many more releases in the new year. I stayed up really late on Christmas to talk to Santa when he came by our house. I asked him for an n-scale SP&S 700, and he said that was out of his league and I’d better call you.

Lowell, thanks to you and your company SP&S modelers (myself included) are having a much easier time modeling the North Bank Road. Thank you for your hard work!

To say the least this is a HUGE development for N-scale and I, along with a number of others, are indebted to you for making these cars possible. Thanks so very much!!!

Thank you for all that you do for the N Scale community. Your products by far, in my opinion, are the top of the line when it comes to N Scale Trains and I am always on the lookout for them when they come up for auction.
