Portland’s Meet N March

We had such a great time, last weekend, with all of our rail friends from all around the Northwest!    We call this N Scale only swap event ‘Meet N March’.  It was my grand daughter’s first N scale train meet!   I think we’ve been having this meet for about 20 years.  Once-in-awhile we’ve called it ‘Meet N May’, if that was the month of the festivities but, basically, this is the spring N Scale swap in Portland.  It’s ‘put on’ by all of the area’s N Scale clubs between Vancouver, WA and Eugene, OR and it’s always a very worthwhile time of filling a high school gym with layouts, clinics, and swap tables of nothing but N Scale.  In conjunction with the event, folks from out-of-town are treated to a special tour of home layouts, and I feel privileged to be the one who gets to coordinate them.  This tour is by ‘invitation only’ and it really completes the weekend.   Modeling ‘railroad operations’ is what we love to do and it’s so much fun.  Please see the photos from the weekend.   My son, Jeremy, said it best, “It’s like a family reunion each spring, when Meet N March comes to town!”  I hope you can make it one of these years!

I was depressed all that weekend of not being able to attend. Now you post the pictures! This is not helping Lowell. Nothing but N scale, nothing better as far as I am concerned.
