Our October rail charter to Denver and Durango was a trip of a lifetime!  We left in the middle of October hoping that the fall leaves would show their splendor and we were not disappointed.

We traveled Donner Pass, Soldier Summit, Gore Canyon, Glenwood Canyon, Beyer’s Canyon, Moffatt tunnel and down the front range into Denver.  As our train exited the east portal of Moffatt Tunnel, it was like we were in a snow globe.

On our way south from Denver to Durango, we stopped and visited Mike Danneman’s Moffatt Road N Scale layout and then had lunch on the Royal Gorge train.  What a bonus that was!

Our day on the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gage was a cloudless day of about 60 degrees and was a perfect day for an amazing ride through the most beautiful mountains!

The food and service were tops.  Riding in the California Zephyr cars, with the great people that came along to share the experience, was so much fun.  Everyone had positive things to say, with the most common question being – when is the next trip?[/twocol_one_last]

Thanks, Lowell, for another awesome addition to an already incredible train.

Bill S.

That car is about the greatest thing I’ve ever seen in N scale!  Excellent work!

Just a quick note to acknowledge receipt of my AFT Tool Car. Thanks so much for another Outstanding Piece of Craftsmanship! The AFT is my most prized “N” Scale collection. I had perceived that there were delays in getting this last car into our hands, but thought it was a problem with China. Your letter…

I look forward to continuing to buy trains from my favorite special run train maker. That’s how I think of you now, “The Train Maker”.  And speaking of cool trains, I just received a box loaded with great looking Texas Special cars. Thanks.  I certainly look forward to all the new releases you are planning.

To say the least this is a HUGE development for N-scale and I, along with a number of others, are indebted to you for making these cars possible. Thanks so very much!!!
