Press Release: Lowell Smith Purchases Tooling From Wm. K. Walthers

Lowell Smith is very pleased to announce the recent ‘purchase of tooling’ of the Walthers line of N Scale passenger cars. The line includes the sleeper, coach and baggage cars in both fluted and smooth-side versions.

The line will be released under the new name of RailSmith Models. RailSmith also plans to expand this line of well-done N Scale passenger cars.

Watch for the first RailSmith Models release the second quarter of 2018!

With these models I can continue my Office Car Special (OCS) series of Norfolk Southern cars, as well as several other current series, but more importantly is the ability to expand the line. What would you like to see? My planned target-price-point on the RailSmith line will be $49. I hope you are excited like I am!

I just received my Carolwood Pacific cars yesterday. They are exquisite! Every attention to detail was paid here, and I can’t thank you enough for putting this into production.  They are going to look amazing, circling my main Street miniatures display.

These are indeed miniature masterpieces.

Every aspect of the trip was professionally done.  You and Barbara were on top of every change and your matter-of-fact assurances speak highly of your professionalism.  Jo Ann is a retired chef  and we know what good food is, and the meals provided on the CZ trip were stellar! BRAVO to you and Barbara for…

Lowell, thanks to you and your company SP&S modelers (myself included) are having a much easier time modeling the North Bank Road. Thank you for your hard work!

That car is about the greatest thing I’ve ever seen in N scale!  Excellent work!
