Description

‘Meramec River’ – Frisco Sleeper

Built by Pullman in 1947-48 specifically for the Meteor. The METEOR ran from St. Louis to Oklahoma City and had connecting cars to New York City (Pennsy) and Washington DC (Wabash), and Chicago (GM&O), and to Jersey City (B&O).

The Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis, is a great resource for this information and I have relied heavily on their publication on the Meteor. They also show consists in the 1950’s and 60’s with more head-end baggage and heavyweight Pullman Sleepers in the consists.

Another great train story! Photo is of sister car. But MERAMEC RIVER is exactly the same other then the name.

Ferdinand Magellan is great! This really fits your mission of offering significant cars that otherwise wouldn’t be produced.

Lowell, thanks to you and your company SP&S modelers (myself included) are having a much easier time modeling the North Bank Road. Thank you for your hard work!

Just a quick note to acknowledge receipt of my AFT Tool Car. Thanks so much for another Outstanding Piece of Craftsmanship! The AFT is my most prized “N” Scale collection. I had perceived that there were delays in getting this last car into our hands, but thought it was a problem with China. Your letter…

I just received my Carolwood Pacific cars yesterday. They are exquisite! Every attention to detail was paid here, and I can’t thank you enough for putting this into production.  They are going to look amazing, circling my main Street miniatures display.
