Description

Built 1951, this was part of the last group of Baggage & Mail cars delivered to the Santa Fe. The car #3601 is one of three in this class that had fluted sides.

As no Railway Post Office has ever been built in N scale for the ATSF without skirts, ours comes in that variation, with NO Skirts. The full (center) skirting was typically removed from the cars to allow fast and easy access to service them. In some cases skirting was removed soon after delivery.  But in other cases and rarely, we would see skirting still on the car at the end of their career.

This car is all sliver, roof, trucks and under frame, and is a classic version of this car.

Don’t miss the chance to ‘Get All The Mail’ by purchasing the entire fleet of SIX RPO’s being released at the same time! Follow this link to find the set of six, discounted for a short while.

Just a quick note to acknowledge receipt of my AFT Tool Car. Thanks so much for another Outstanding Piece of Craftsmanship! The AFT is my most prized “N” Scale collection. I had perceived that there were delays in getting this last car into our hands, but thought it was a problem with China. Your letter…

I am looking forward to many more releases in the new year. I stayed up really late on Christmas to talk to Santa when he came by our house. I asked him for an n-scale SP&S 700, and he said that was out of his league and I’d better call you.

I have never been treated as graciously and in a manner more suited to a VIP in my life, as I was on our train trip.  It’s obvious how you’ve made your life a success story.  Looking around the train and seeing your friends I’m pretty sure they  were all made to feel very special by you, and your…

What a trip! We had a great time- exceeded our expectations by a mile. The Silver Lariat was simply stunning. A gem on the rails. The scenery and weather were perfect. The delays were not an issue for us at all. All just a good days work on the railroad! Thank you for all the…

Thank you for all that you do for the N Scale community. Your products by far, in my opinion, are the top of the line when it comes to N Scale Trains and I am always on the lookout for them when they come up for auction.
