Description

Santa Fe’s Fluted Diner ‘1488’

This car, #1488 was a single car order built by Pullman and delivered in 1940.

The SFR&MS book on Dining & Beverage Service Cars has the complete story and great photos.

Santa Fe had many diners from Budd and Pullman, none served a Ribeye Steak as good as this RailSmith Pullman Diner, with legendary Fred Harvey Service!

This is a Classic model and the photo here shows this car on the Texas Chief with skirts, as our model will have.

Don’t miss the chance to ‘Get The Fluted Feast #2’ by purchasing the entire fleet of five fluted diners being released at the same time! Follow this link to find the set of five, discounted for a short while.

Ferdinand Magellan is great! This really fits your mission of offering significant cars that otherwise wouldn’t be produced.

I just received my Carolwood Pacific cars yesterday. They are exquisite! Every attention to detail was paid here, and I can’t thank you enough for putting this into production.  They are going to look amazing, circling my main Street miniatures display.

I have never been treated as graciously and in a manner more suited to a VIP in my life, as I was on our train trip.  It’s obvious how you’ve made your life a success story.  Looking around the train and seeing your friends I’m pretty sure they  were all made to feel very special by you, and your…
