Texas Special Fluted Diner  ‘Sam Houston’

This was one of the two streamlined light-weight diners built by Pullman in 1948 for the Texas Special.

In case you missed the update, we are building a second consist for this popular train! Read the update here!

The Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis, is a great resource for this information and I have relied heavily on their publication on the Texas Special.

This is a Prototype version of this car.

Don’t miss the chance to ‘Get The Fluted Feast’ by purchasing the entire fleet of five fluted diners being released at the same time! Follow this link to find the set of five, discounted for a short while.
