Train Show Season

Every year I go to several train shows and they are a blast. What is most enjoyable is meeting you at these shows and having time with my friends again. Our hobby is fascinating and continues to grow and evolve with new technology, ideas, and products.
One of the best shows in the Northwest is in Monroe, Washington! This year’s show is February 1st and 2nd, and is being held at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds. This show has been growing for many years and if you have an interest in trains, has become ‘the show’ to attend. All scales are well represented and there is a very strong appeal for families with the LEGO train layout and others like that. It’s also the show that my friends from Portland, will drive to just for the day. That’s a bit of a drive so you know it must be good!
The United North West Club supports the Snohomish County 4-H Foundation as a charitable partner for this event and over the years have raised over $250,000! That’s the way it should be: giving back, giving away, and making it about a great youth program.

Barb and I would not miss this event, and I know of folks that come from all over for it! Won’t you come and visit this year?

I would also encourage you to ‘save the date’ for Portland’s Meet ‘N March, which is beingheld on March 29th this year. Here is the show flyer, so you will have the details. This ‘N Scale only’ show is small, but always a great gathering of the clan here in Portland.

I hope to see you at one, or both, of these great Northwest trains events. Train show season is here!

I have done a lot of research on the Ferdinand Magellan and the model has excellent detail. It will be an…

Just a quick note to acknowledge receipt of my AFT Tool Car. Thanks so much for another Outstanding Piece of Craftsmanship! The AFT is my most prized “N” Scale collection. I had perceived that there were delays in getting this last car into our hands, but thought it was a problem with China. Your letter…
