Barb & Lowell’s next great rail adventure!

As you read in a prior blog post, we had an amazing train trip last summer when we chartered California Zephyr cars and headed across the country to attend the 2013 National N Scale Train Convention in Milwaukee WI. The trip was everything we wanted it to be, and as a vote of assuring confidence, many that took that train with us have already asked to come along on Barb & Lowell’s next great rail adventure!

This year we are planning a trip in October to see the fall colors and will be traveling in two California Zephyr (era 1949) classic passenger cars between Emeryville CA and Denver CO, and then by deluxe coach to Durango CO to ride the amazing Durango & Silverton Railway. While in Durango, we will stay at the classic victorian Strater Hotel. Before we leave, we’ll see the museum and get a railroad ‘shop’ tour and then head back to Denver where our train cars await. The next day we’ll depart westbound for our trip back to California. And, while we’re on our Zephyr cars, our own private chef will prepare some of the best meals you can imagine – just ask any of those on our last train trip!

I have attached the link for you to see and respond to. With only 24 places to confirm, a waiting list will be built so we will have assurances of going. There is no coach fare, but all first class bedrooms on this train! And, everyone gets a dome seat to enjoy the view. See the Rockies in a way you have never seen them before!

If you are interested, please respond immediately because this train will ‘sell out’ fast. I have already sent a pre-announcement to last year’s travelers and have received many reservations from them. We sure hope you’ll come along.
