Description

Wabash – City of Kansas City -RPO

Built by American Car & Foundry and delivered in 1947, this car was built specifically for the City of Kansas City train. It was only a seven car train, that ran between St. Louis and Kansas City. Only one train set was needed for this all coach run. This was the only lightweight Railway Post Office car that the Wabash owned.

The Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis, is a great resource for this information and I have relied heavily on their publication on WABASH.

RailSmith has tooled many new cars yet this entire train will be a ‘Classic’ version of the City of Kansas City, as our cars are mostly modeled after Pullman-Standard versions.

For the E unit, watch for our announcement of a special run with Broadway Limited Imports!

And as for your goal of 5 releases a year, I admire your ambition, but I won’t hold it against you if you fall short on that accomplishment.  I’m just thrilled you’re doing such an AWESOME job of releasing this amazing train, and hope you don’t stop until it’s all done!

To say the least this is a HUGE development for N-scale and I, along with a number of others, are indebted to you for making these cars possible. Thanks so very much!!!

I am speechless!  The AFT Showcase car is everything I hoped it would be; and more.

Lowell, thanks to you and your company SP&S modelers (myself included) are having a much easier time modeling the North Bank Road. Thank you for your hard work!

My kids absolutely love the Christmas cars! The C.K. Holiday, along with the Carolwood and Disney cars makes a wonderful Christmas train. It made many a loop under our tree this year.

Wow… You made my dream come true with the CK Holiday! I am a great admirer of your work.

Ferdinand Magellan is great! This really fits your mission of offering significant cars that otherwise wouldn’t be produced.
