Talent Relief – Squad 51 ‘Emergency’

On Tuesday September 8, 2020, a wildfire raced through the town of Talent Oregon, home of Micro-Trains Line, N Scale manufacturers.

When it was done, the factory was still standing, but six employees lost everything when their homes burned to the ground.

Squad 51 from the well know TV Series EMERGENCY, was released on this gray Santa Fe flat car as our Concept Car for the 2015 National N Scale Convention held in Sacramento California.

Now is the time for this to become a part of the ‘Concept to Reality’ Series. A portion of these sales will go directly to the MTL Employee Relief Fund.

However, Micro-Trains Line is concerned that this would seem to be a conflict. Helping raise money for their employees, may be thought to be a conflict by some. Who in the world would think such a thing?  Micro-Trains is concerned that it somehow would be misunderstood. (Trust me, they charge me full price for special runs! No breaks, ever.)

So I must yield to their concern. This flat car is being once again being  produced by Lowell Smith, just like a Concept Car. It will be painted Boxcar Red on their 045 series 50′ car with reporting mark SP 9820 as shown in the art rendering here. The slogan ‘Talent Relief’ is printed next to the number to make this piece a positive reminder for you, that you helped these unfortunate employees.

Squad 51 is a fully detailed resin cast model, ready to roll as you see here. (well the wheels don’t really roll).

This very limited release is planned for the 2nd Quarter of 2021.
