Description

Finally a Diner for the Rock Island!

Built by Pullman-Standard in 1948, this fluted diner was one of four in this lot delivered to the Rock Island, for the Golden State train. Later use finds it as in this photo with Rock Island in the lettering board.

We are excited to offer this car that has never been produced in N Scale before. Like the other Rock Island cars we have produced, this car will not have full skirts. This all silver car was as it appeared after the red & silver Golden State scheme was retired.

This is a classic car for the Rock Island and will come complete with the super fine RailSmith antenna!

Wanting more Rock Island? Okay you talked us into it. More cars are coming!

And as for your goal of 5 releases a year, I admire your ambition, but I won’t hold it against you if you fall short on that accomplishment.  I’m just thrilled you’re doing such an AWESOME job of releasing this amazing train, and hope you don’t stop until it’s all done!

I have never been treated as graciously and in a manner more suited to a VIP in my life, as I was on our train trip.  It’s obvious how you’ve made your life a success story.  Looking around the train and seeing your friends I’m pretty sure they  were all made to feel very special by you, and your…
