Description

SP 2429 decorated in Two-Tone-Gray was assigned to the Overland and Lark pools. “Pool Cars’ were cars that were called up to service as needed.

This Southern Pacific, ‘Chair Car’  from Pullman-Standard was delivered in 1937.

According to the SP Historical & Technical Society, the two-tone-gray scheme was adopted for ‘General Service’ from 1954-58.  That was after the Lark in 1946 and the Cascade in 1950 were painted TTG.

Notice the road number plate, 2429, being the same size as others of this class but is void a train name logo.  Thus being available to the Lark or the Overland trains without looking out of place.

This is a Classic version of this car.
