Presenting  coaches for the Golden State!

The Southern Pacific, received a fleet of 16  ‘Chair Cars’  from Pullman-Standard.  (Remember that the Southern Pacific used the term ‘Chair Cars’, where other railroads used the term ‘coach’. They are the same.) These coaches were used all over the SP system and in 1947, four were painted for the Golden State in this sharp Daylight Red and Silver scheme.

We are releasing two of those four cars at this time, the Golden Sand and Golden Ore. Both of these cars were later reassigned and replaced by Budd Chair Cars. Interestingly, these two names were also applied to those Budd cars.

There are two road names in this run, Golden Sand and Golden Ore.  This selection ‘SP golden State Coach Pair’ is for two coaches. These cars have never been produced in N Scale before.

These are Classic versions of these cars, and our first releases of the 1947 Golden State!
