Description

Presenting the SP observation #9053  in two-tone-gray for the Cascade, circa 1950!

Pullman built four sleepers plan 4140 with blunt ends for the Southern Pacific in 1950. Two for the Golden State and two for the Cascade.

This car #9053, was one of the two built for the Cascade and was delivered in the two-tone-gray scheme for the 1950 new streamlined Cascade.

We have relied on the Southern Pacific Historical & Technical Society for all of our information.

RailSmith Blunt End Observation features: accurate newly tooled end detail including operating rear light, photo etched door safety bar, period and car accurate drumhead (not lit), as well as Micro-Trains True Scale Coupler on the rear of the car.

If you would like all four of the SP OBS cars being released at this time, there is a special ‘Fleet Offer SPOH’  for ‘SP Observation Heaven’. Click Here

Production costs seem to be volatile these days and we expect that the retail price of these cars will increase at or before delivery, so please reserve your car today for your best pricing.

This is a Prototype car.

Be sure to see the rest of the 1950 Cascade Fleet!!

Aside from the quality, creativity and originality, you are to be commended for your ongoing commitment to this (GAC) series, and all of your series of trains over a period of so many years.  There is always something to look forward to. Keep up the great work!’ D. K.

You are in my book one of the very best.

I am looking forward to many more releases in the new year. I stayed up really late on Christmas to talk to Santa when he came by our house. I asked him for an n-scale SP&S 700, and he said that was out of his league and I’d better call you.

D.K.

I am speechless!  The AFT Showcase car is everything I hoped it would be; and more.

Thanks, Lowell, for another awesome addition to an already incredible train.
