Finally a RPO for the Rock Island!
This Railway Post Office car was one of three in this lot delivered to the Rock Island, built by Pullman-Standard in 1948 for the Golden State train.
We are excited to offer this car that has never been produced in N Scale before. Like the other Rock Island cars we have produced, this car will not have full skirts. This all silver car was as it appeared after the red over silver Golden State scheme was retired.
(A future release will have that familiar red over silver version, and will have skirts.)
This is a Prototype car for the Rock Island!

I have never been treated as graciously and in a manner more suited to a VIP in my life, as I was on our train trip. It’s obvious how you’ve made your life a success story. Looking around the train and seeing your friends I’m pretty sure they were all made to feel very special by you, and your…

I had perceived that there were delays in getting this last car into our hands, but thought it was a problem with China. Your letter…

BRAVO to you and Barbara for…

Aside from the quality, creativity and originality, you are to be commended for your ongoing commitment to this (GAC) series, and all of your series of trains over a period of so many years. There is always something to look forward to. Keep up the great work!’ D. K.

Ferdinand Magellan is great! This really fits your mission of offering significant cars that otherwise wouldn’t be produced.

I am speechless! Â The AFT Showcase car is everything I hoped it would be; and more.

I am looking forward to many more releases in the new year. I stayed up really late on Christmas to talk to Santa when he came by our house. I asked him for an n-scale SP&S 700, and he said that was out of his league and I’d better call you.
