Planned for Q3 2025

Description

Missouri Pacific Dome coach ‘The Eagle‘.

Domes were introduced on the MP in 1948. Four were built by Pullman and three were build by Budd. This model represents one of those three Budd Dome Coaches. Originally these were built for the Colorado Eagle, later renamed the Eagle in the lettering board.

All of these were sold in 1967 to the Illinois Central for use on the City of Miami and City of New Orleans. (just maybe we will do that as well)

And for the record, you may know that this past scheme known as the Eagle scheme was gone before Amtrak. So although not really accurate for a ‘Rainbow Era’ (1970’s) train, but more to the point of this colorful version.

This is a classic version of this Dome Coach.

I am looking forward to many more releases in the new year. I stayed up really late on Christmas to talk to Santa when he came by our house. I asked him for an n-scale SP&S 700, and he said that was out of his league and I’d better call you.

Thank you ever so much for being such an integral part of the model railroading hobby!

My kids absolutely love the Christmas cars! The C.K. Holiday, along with the Carolwood and Disney cars makes a wonderful Christmas train. It made many a loop under our tree this year.

Blunt End Observation is a GRAND SLAM! I’ve wanted this car for ages but never figured out a good way to kitbash it.

And as for your goal of 5 releases a year, I admire your ambition, but I won’t hold it against you if you fall short on that accomplishment.  I’m just thrilled you’re doing such an AWESOME job of releasing this amazing train, and hope you don’t stop until it’s all done!

Thanks, Lowell, for another awesome addition to an already incredible train.
