N SCALE!  Great Northern’s Diner Lake McDonald

This dining car was one of six built by Pullman-Standard in 1947 for service on the new ‘Streamlined Empire Builder’. All of these cars are named for lakes along the Great Northern’s route.

In 1951, new diners built by American Car & Foundry were delivered for use on the Empire Builder and the 1947 Pullman-Standard built cars were assigned to the secondary trains such as the newest train named the Western Star. In this era, the lettering board showed ‘Great Northern’. This N Scale model is this version and has no skirts.

This is a Prototype car.

Consider the ‘Jim Hill’s Full Meal Fleet’ for discount on all of the dining car paint schemes coming in this release, link here.

And as for your goal of 5 releases a year, I admire your ambition, but I won’t hold it against you if you fall short on that accomplishment.  I’m just thrilled you’re doing such an AWESOME job of releasing this amazing train, and hope you don’t stop until it’s all done!
