Description

We are so excited to finally announce this train!

The organization Friends of the 4449 own several cars over the years that they use on excursions. The consist on our category web site will show the cars we will be building for this train.

The blog post here also tells our story that connects us to this famous train.

These cars are the beginning of the train we will build and can be the basis of an excursion train for your layout or display.

The Mount Hood is the same Mount Hood owned but the SP&S as such will have that really fine antenna. This time painted in the Daylight colors she wears today.

The sleeper Clackamas River was the other sleeper used in many of the 4449 trains and was owned by Doyle McCormack, famed rail restorer and engineer of the 4449.

Get on board for a train you will be proud to own and run on today’s railroads!  Just because you can!
