Description

Announcing an extremely limited run of custom decorated C-630’s.

Atlas has been commissioned to decorate their amazing C-630 for the SP&S Railway.

After years of waiting, it has been determined that none of the major model train producers will ever produce a C-636.  I have spoken with the owners, or top officials, at Atlas Model Railroad Company, Fox Valley Models, and Bowser.  All these great manufacturers have turned this idea down time-and-again, year after year, stating the few number of major railroads that owned this model does not support the production cost.  In looking further in today’s marketplace, there is not another producer that would entertain a C-636 in N scale.

I have concluded with the differences so few, that a properly decorated C630 model will more than fill the huge space of this epic six-axel locomotive, for our railroads today!  The cab, body, and overall details are the same.  There are only a few items that a knowing eye would notice, and you might be delighted to see some customized details address a few of those areas.

What will be done well is the paint and lettering, as you’ve come to expect, from my SP&S productions.  If you consider yourself a rivet counter, and most of you are not, I am giving you clear notice that this will look like a 636, but is not.  If someday a C636 is made by someone, then I will commission another run with different road numbers and you will agree then again, that the differences are few.

Production on this release is limited to two road numbers and a no number version for those that need more and the BN fans. You may choose the GOLD version to have factory installed DCC and that distinct ALCO sound! My mission statement talks about having the trains I want, ‘in our lifetime’! If that rings true for you, then I hope you will get on board.

You will love this engine I promise!

Remember they are extremely limited, so please do not hesitate.  This will not be a full production run of engines, and I am delighted that Atlas has allowed us this opportunity!
