Description
Presenting Two-Tone-Gray coaches for the Cascade!
The Southern Pacific, ordered a fleet of 30 Â ‘Chair Cars’ Â from Pullman-Standard built to Plan 7436, and delivered in late 1940. (The Southern Pacific used the term ‘Chair Cars’, where other railroads used the term ‘coach’. They are the same.) These coaches were used all over the SP system.
The Cascade was introduced in 1950 as an all sleeper (Pullman) train. In 1953 four of these Chair Cars were rebuilt for Cascade service. Each Cascade consist, of which there were two, had two of these cars assigned beginning in 1953.
There are two road numbers in this run, 2430 & 2437.  This selection ‘SP Cascade Coach Pair 1953’ is for two coaches. These cars have never been produced in N Scale before.
These are Classic versions of these cars, and our first release of the 1950 Cascade!
