Gone by Noon- Roanoke Part 3

Every year since the third N Scale Convention in Baltimore, MD, I have made what has come to be called the ‘Concept Car’ that is released the morning of the Swap-A-Rama. This year was as big a surprise as ever, when I released a Micro-Trains production special run for this convention car! Shown here, the Norfolk and Western’s car ‘Roanoke’ was a smashing hit and was sold out by noon. It has always been in my head to make something super extra special for those folks that line up at my table each-and-every-year at our swap. I am honored that so many think my cars are so special, but to produce a car that was kept secret, just for these very special people, was my way of saying ‘thanks’. Next year will be back to the usual and fun hand-made stuff. But you never know!

    Lowell-

Wow! This is definitely a surprise! And WELL worth waiting for! I can’t wait to see it “live, upclose, and persoanal”, as “they” say in the “biz”. This will make a great tail end car for my train of concept cars. This might even sway me into thinking about the OCS series of cars.

    Hello,
Are you doing a re-run or is there any way I could get my hands on one of these?
    Thank you

What a trip! We had a great time- exceeded our expectations by a mile. The Silver Lariat was simply stunning. A gem on the rails. The scenery and weather were perfect. The delays were not an issue for us at all. All just a good days work on the railroad! Thank you for all the…
