D23 2024: Another Fun Disney Showcase

The D23 Expo is the Walt Disney Company’s bi-annual showcase of every part of their business. Beyond just the parks and ships, it is everything Disney, including Marvel, Star Wars, ABC (and all of their top shows), and of course Pixar.

This show (this year August 9-11, 2024) completely consumes all three floors of the Anaheim convention center, takes place over three ten-hour days and never lets up. Movie and TV stars are all there, and of course, Mickey. We have met many of those.

This year, it was interesting to meet someone like Margaret Kerry, for one. She was the model for Tinker Bell in the 1953 hit Peter Pan.  I asked her to show us her favorite pose, and Barb snapped this quick shot as she visited our booth.

The show is every other year and recently, by invitation only for vendors. We are blessed to be invited year after year, sharing our booth in the area called the ‘D23 Emporium’ with well known artist Bob Olszewski.

I mean we are really blessed!

D23 stands for Disney’s 1923 opening of his studio in Southern California and if you put this show on your bucket list, know that tickets sell out very fast. (Keep an eye on our Events page and enewsletter for date announcements!) The next D23 is summer of 2026 and we hope to see you there. We sure will be!

Oh, and beware of Hitchhiking Ghosts!
