American Fruit Packers Columbia Belle Arrives Today!

Lowell and Barb apple press partyMost folks I talk with love the fall season. It comes and goes so fast though, there is little time to enjoy the most colorful time of the year.

Two weeks ago Barb and I did something we have never done before, we joined some friends at an apple press party.  The result was great apple cider and great memories with good friends.  Of course we had wonderful apples from our part of the country, the amazing northwest!

I could not help but be reminded of this year’s American Fruit Packers car, “Columbia Belle” and the annual tradition of it’s release.  With just one release each year, this is the 18th car in this series and it is scheduled to arrive today!  How timely that this colorful car arrive during the harvest season.  And it’s color will last all year and for many years to come!

I have been asked ‘how many cars will there be in the American Fruit Packers Series?’  My response is always the same, ‘as long as God gives me breath and Micro-Trains is in business!’   So you see, I hope and expect, that this series is still very young, even with 18 cars so far.

I will post a photo of the car when I get it. But if you ordered it, you will have it before I can photograph it!

Let’s lift a glass of cider and toast the season, the harvest, and to you our good friends.
