Join Lowell & Barb this fall, for another Vista Dome adventure!
We are planning another private rail charter trip.
Before we began the last trip, everybody wanted to know when the next trip would be.
So here it is!
We will travel in our two private cars: Silver Solarium and Silver Rapids.
Departing Emeryville CA, over Donner Pass, Soldier Summit, Gore Canyon, Glenwood Canyon, Moffat Tunnel, Down the Front Range into Denver. Travel by deluxe motor coach to Durango. While in Durango we will step back in time with two nights booked that the historic Strater Hotel. Ride the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gage. Tour the D&SNG shops and museum. We will then enjoy our scenic ride back to Denver where our private railcars await. The following day our cars are added to the Westbound California Zephyr, where once agin we will enjoy all the west has to offer from the comfort of our very own dome seat.
Take the Fall colors in all their splendor with good friends and amazing food!

The itinerary was:
Saturday 10/11/14 9:10am Depart Emeryville CA (Oakland)
Sunday 10/12/14 Arrive Denver 6:38pm Dinner in our diner. Sleep in our rooms on board.
Monday 10/13/14 Depart Denver via private deluxe motor coach. Cruise to Durango CO.
Tuesday 10/14/14 Ride D&SNGRR to Silverton and return by train (9 hour trip)
Wednesday 10/15/14 Shop & Museum tour before we ride back to Denver later that day. Spend Wednesday night back in our CZ bedroom!
Thursday 10/16/14 our cars are attached to Amtrak’s Westbound #5
Friday 10/17/14 we arrive back in Emeryville at 4:10pm refreshed and full of more amazing memories!
Possible to add one more day in Durango should the consensus desire and we plan on that. Visit Mesa Verde?
